About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP close for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consolidation of intercompany activity.
- Optimize cash visibility and forecasting; partner on AR/collections strategy to manage long DSO cycles and utilize credit facilities effectively.
- Lead the implementation and scaling of accounting systems (billing, expenses, ERP) to automate workflows and strengthen internal controls.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on revenue recognition, cost allocation, and business combinations, including drafting formal audit memos.
- Drive audit readiness and change management; manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies (including healthcare-specific compliance).
- Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Finance and Executive leadership on M&A diligence, board reporting, budget variance analysis, and margin optimization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8–12+ years of accounting experience, with a mix of public accounting and in-house experience
- BA/BS in Accounting or Business Adjacent program; CPA strongly preferred
- Experience in high-growth and/or multi-entity environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
- Experience with audits and building processes from the ground up
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience is a strong plus, but not required
- Systems-oriented mindset (experience with systems such as Campfire, Rippling and Ramp strongly preferred)
- Highly detail-oriented but able to operate at a strategic level
