About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and lead an enterprise security posture and hygiene program, including strategy, roadmap, operating cadence, governance, and direct people management
  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team responsible for control assessments, configuration hygiene, remediation planning, and continuous improvement
  • Leverage AI to accelerate continuous control monitoring and response
  • Integrate posture and hygiene telemetry from AI-enabled tools, custom tools, and workflows to detect misuse, configuration drift, and critical control deviations
  • Identify intentional and unintentional misuse of AI-enabled tools and workflows and translate findings into preventive systemic control improvements
  • Develop and mature a control framework aligned to the CIS Top 18 Controls and associated safeguards
  • Establish a methodology to assess control maturity, identify systemic gaps, and prioritize remediation based on risk and business impact
  • Partner with infrastructure, cloud, identity, network, endpoint, application, and AI engineering teams to embed secure-by-default configurations and resilient architectures
  • Build metrics, dashboards, and executive-ready reporting on posture trends, control effectiveness, and remediation progress
  • Publish standards, playbooks, and guidance for secure design, deployment, and operations
  • Stay current on emerging risks related to AI, automation, and modern attack techniques

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience, or Master's degree and 8 years of experience, or PhD and 4 years of experience
  • Proven cybersecurity leadership in complex and diverse IT environments
  • Extensive experience managing security posture and hygiene strategies
  • Experience implementing an enterprise AI security program
  • Expert knowledge of operating systems, networking protocols, systems administration, X-as-a-service, applications, and security technologies
  • Expert knowledge of cybersecurity terminology, concepts, cyber threat landscape, and attack vectors
  • Deep understanding of risk management principles and their integration into security practices
  • Ability to innovate and adapt in a constantly changing environment
  • Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with business and technical groups
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to convey technical insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to interface effectively with clients, IT management, and staff
  • Desire to learn and stay current with cybersecurity developments
  • Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CIS Controls are highly desirable
