About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and optimize national and regional marketing initiatives aligned with Annual Strategic Brand Plans
  • Lead projects through the promotional review process while following regulatory guidelines and AbbVie processes
  • Manage strategy, execution, and budgeting for conventions, External Expert consulting, advisory boards, and peer-to-peer education programs
  • Evaluate marketing tactics and recommend opportunities for brand optimization
  • Provide insights on business questions to inform marketing strategy, resource optimization, and tactic development
  • Partner with field leadership to optimize pull-through of marketing strategies
  • Analyze market drivers, competitive landscape, provider dynamics, and competitive intelligence across the assigned geography
  • Coordinate deliverables across external vendors and internal departments
  • Build and strengthen relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and patient and professional associations
  • Develop regional External Expert engagement plans and ensure tactical execution
  • Connect AbbVie Integrated Brand Teams to collaboration opportunities based on aligned objectives and industry standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in Immunology (preferred)
  • Previous experience in sales, sales management, or marketing
  • Previous Gastroenterology experience (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience collaborating with integrated, cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority
  • Ability to navigate field- and headquarters-based matrix organizations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting pharmaceutical products
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
  • Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment
  • Ability to sit continuously for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)
