About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • responsible for leading a team to promote AbbVie’s Xen Gel stent within the refractory glaucoma market
  • oversee all aspects of managing the district’s sales results while overseeing the interviewing, selection, and development of Account Consultants on their team
  • manage the district’s customer facing activities for developing and maintaining relationships with strict adherence to compliance principles
  • provide support to franchise short- and long-term strategy, tactical execution, promotional initiatives and meeting or exceeding region and business unit goals
  • consistently attain growth and market share goals while managing the area operation within expense guidelines
  • provide leadership and direction for all colleagues
  • responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing and performance management for the assigned district
  • engage in coaching and counseling to develop innovative selling and account management skills
  • lead sales direction across the region
  • demonstrate the ability to execute marketing plans

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • MBA Preferred
  • Sales and sales leadership experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Healthcare, buy and bill, or device experience is required
  • Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Collaborates and can influence without authority across organizations
  • Ability to articulate the scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas
  • Proven ability to deliver candid, effective feedback and efficiently manage performance
  • Ability to develop talent for promotional opportunities

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
