About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the US Market Access business unit’s comprehensive strategy and tactical execution plan
- Execute a comprehensive reimbursement strategy for products
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration
- Support Government Affairs in building strategic physician relationships
- Partner closely with various cross-functional individuals/teams
- Inform and educate internal stakeholders on evolving strategic alliances
- Engage externally with professional societies to build relationships
- Develop and execute AbbVie current and future reimbursed product coverage
- Collaborate with brand teams to align product reimbursement strategy
- Monitor and interpret CMS policy and regulatory activities
- Represent AbbVie’s interests at conferences
- Provide top-level reimbursement support to external customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS or above, MBA preferred
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales leadership and/or marketing, reimbursement, and/or market access
- Proficient knowledge of medically reimbursed and medical device industries
- Strong understanding of the US reimbursement systems and payment methodologies
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical device regulatory and compliance environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of reimbursement strategy, HCPCS, CPT coding
- Experience/knowledge working with RBRVS and RUC process
- Understanding of key public and private payer policy infrastructure
- Prior involvement in leading local, regional, and national initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed team environment
