About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute brand strategy and tactics in field
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives
- Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations
- Effectively handle objections and gain logical calls to action to close sales
- Build trusted customer relationships to achieve win-win agreements
- Develop and execute call plans to optimize coverage and frequency
- Build understanding of customer needs, market landscape, and product expertise
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and maintain disease state experts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is at least five (5) years
- Three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred
- A high school diploma/GED required
- Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills
- Proactively identifies customer style / behavior and adapts selling approach
- Offers innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities
- Provides impact with ideas for the larger organization and anticipates changes
- Influences others & is viewed as a credible resource among peers
- Builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams
- Demonstrated success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibility
- Understands and leverages findings to develop sales strategies
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
