About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Understands patient engagement, advocacy and centricity
- Build strategic, long-term relationships with patient associations
- Collaborate with people living with diseases and patient associations
- Develop and lead a strategic, pro-active patient relations agenda
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies and action plans
- Provide input/ insights on trends and opportunities
- Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Monitor patient-related activities and report back to brand teams
- Partner with Area and Global on strategic programs
- Represent AbbVie at relevant meetings
- Drive innovation by identifying new ways to learn from patients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience
- Bachelor in Communications, Nursing, Public Affairs or any other relevant discipline
- Advanced proficiency in English and/or French; preference to bilingual candidates
- Experience in working with patient associations
- Experience in patient/stakeholder relations, market access and/or marketing.
- Intermediate computer & software skills (MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook and Internet)
