About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) acts as an alternative in-office resource that is available to address HCP questions about patient access
  • The FRM calls directly on HCP offices in their assigned, specific geography to answer questions about patient access & reimbursement in support of the AbbVie Oncology portfolio
  • The FRM provides expertise on coverage and common access and reimbursement challenges affecting AbbVie Oncology products
  • Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
  • Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options such as specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution
  • Educate on resources available to address access issues
  • Provide local expertise in regards to national/regional payor policies in order to educate providers on payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes
  • Liaise with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update HCPs on Rx status and program eligibility
  • Report back payer trends related for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
  • Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
  • Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred and a high school diploma/GED required
  • Proven track record of leadership success and solid presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities
  • Proactively identifies customer style / behavior and adapts quickly all aspects of selling approach
  • Operates effectively in a matrix environment
  • Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas preferred
  • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician/account based selling, training, managed health care or marketing preferred
  • Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders
  • English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries)
