About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to increase awareness, adoption, and utilization of Cologuard while achieving sales objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with physicians, healthcare administrators, and other key stakeholders
- Identify unmet needs and deliver value-based diagnostic solutions
- Analyze local healthcare markets, customer data, and account insights to identify opportunities that improve patient outcomes and enhance the system of care
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Screening Advocates, Sales Operations, and Area Managers on customer-specific business strategies
- Document customer interactions, sales activities, market intelligence, and pipeline development in CRM
- Maintain ethical, quality, and compliance standards
- Travel daily throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Life Sciences, or a related field, or four (4) years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
- Two (2) years of sales, inside sales, or account management experience OR one (1) year of sales experience plus one (1) year of healthcare-related experience OR completion of active-duty military service as a Junior Officer or above
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and relationship-building skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record meeting company requirements
- Ability to travel daily throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
- Ability to meet healthcare facility credentialing requirements, including vaccination or other site-specific requirements where applicable
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Preferred: two (2) or more years of medical device, diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales experience
- Preferred: experience calling on primary care physicians or other healthcare provider customers
- Preferred: demonstrated success in commissioned sales and territory management
- Preferred: proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM platforms
- Preferred: experience using data and business intelligence tools for account planning and sales strategy
- Preferred: strong analytical, problem-solving, and consultative selling skills
