About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver customer training and coaching on Abbott diagnostic systems.
  • Support new instrument installations and assay implementations.
  • Investigate and resolve application and assay-related issues within customer laboratories.
  • Build strong relationships with Biomedical Scientists, Laboratory Managers and Pathologists.
  • Provide expert technical and clinical support to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Travel extensively throughout the UK to support customer sites.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BSc in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Medical Technology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience working within a clinical diagnostic laboratory.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostic testing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for training, coaching, and supporting healthcare professionals.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  • HCPC registration (ideal experience).
  • Experience in Clinical Chemistry, Immunoassay, Haematology, Blood Sciences, Molecular Diagnostics, or Pathology (ideal experience).
  • Senior Biomedical Scientist or Specialist Biomedical Scientist background (ideal experience).
  • Customer-facing or training experience (ideal experience).
