About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and expand markets and customer base in the Secondary Care segment to achieve sales targets for ARDx products in the assigned regions
- Take full responsibility for sales and revenue, including planning, directing and controlling sales strategies based on KPIs, customer needs and product concepts
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee contract management with business partners at C-level in hospitals, hospital groups and purchasing associations
- Identify, prepare and present customer challenges and business opportunities for key customers to secure long-term, strategically important national business relationships
- Build and maintain excellent customer relationships and proactively support change initiatives in close cooperation with central stakeholders such as hospital managers, procurement leads and decision-making bodies
- Conceptualize and strategically implement ARDx products and associated marketing campaigns
- Represent Abbott and the product portfolio at sales and marketing events and conferences
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in the natural sciences, or alternatively medical training or a comparable qualification with relevant experience in diagnostics
- Minimum of three years’ professional experience in medical technology or a comparable environment
- Excellent knowledge of the market segment and a deep understanding of key customers and their needs
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, including experience at management and C-level
- Results-oriented, structured and resilient work style
- High problem-solving ability and strong customer focus
- Team-oriented personality with high initiative, energy and enthusiasm
- Very good organizational, moderation and presentation skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel extensively (approx. 70–80%)
- Fluent German and very good English
