About the role

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT Business Relationship Managers to gather, analyze, and document business processes and their associated system requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and ensure alignment with project objectives and clarity with development team.
  • Partner with technical architects and developers to ensure business requirements can be met.
  • Work together to make certain the solution is designed and development to meet those requirements.
  • Facilitate solution reviews and demos with business and technical teams.
  • Prepare and maintain SDLC documentation, including documents such as user requirements, functional specifications, and validation protocols.
  • Support testing activities, including test case development and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and Abbott’s quality processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and IT teams to resolve issues and optimize system functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes and propose effective solutions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Desire to learn and expand skills through self-study, coaching, and hands-on job experience.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or related modules).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC processes and documentation in a regulated environment.
  • Experience in the healthcare, life sciences or other regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with validation requirements for regulated systems (e.g., FDA, GxP).
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator or Business Analyst).
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).
