About the role
- Responsible for all aspects of downstream marketing for Acelis Connected Health’s Durable Medical Equipment (DME) business serving VAD patients within Abbott’s Heart Failure Division; reports to Senior Manager of Marketing.
- Develop marketing plans, strategic planning, sales forecasting, and budgeting.
- Design and develop new products/services; incorporate market input into design across multiple products.
- Participate in development of product support materials, convention presentations, KOL development, and sales training.
- Analyze market trends, conduct consolidated SWOT analyses, and make recommendations.
- Understand regulatory requirements and ensure compliance of all products in a heavily monitored segment.
- Support sales and R&D by modifying marketing plans and influencing R&D based on market/customer needs.
- Conceptualize business strategy for 3-5 year period and prepare draft annual marketing strategy.
- Develop downstream activation, finalize and execute new product introduction plans and launches in coordination with markets and segments.
- Monitor and consolidate marketing expense budget for global business segment; initiate market research for product feedback and new features.
- Develop and deliver customer notifications and product support at varying levels depending on product scope.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in business, life science, engineering or related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 5 years commercial experience.
- 2-3 years marketing management experience.
- Experience in cardiac / cardiovascular space.
- Established successful track record of innovative marketing/business development successes in a variety of market situations.
- Strong people leadership skills with proven track record of developing others.
- Proven ability to develop and execute complex strategic business plans.
- Familiarity with primary and secondary market research and data analysis.
- Experience in managing KOLs and KOL programs.
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills.
- Experience and proficiency with P&L / budget management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
