About the role

  • Lead technical projects across multiple product teams to architect, design, build, and scale next-generation technology platforms.
  • Establish and implement contemporary solution architectures that adapt to changing industry and market environments to support Abbott’s digital transformation.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed systems, application, and integration designs for large, complex IT solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business and IT leaders to address digital business needs, use cases, and requirements.
  • Review and approve Architecture Design Documents, Software Design Documents (SDD), and Integration Design Documents.
  • Conduct code reviews, resolve code conflicts from parallel development, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend scalable, secure, and compliant architectural solutions, ensuring alignment with Salesforce best practices, multi-org strategy, and Abbott’s enterprise architecture standards.
  • Support impact analysis for new features, integrations, and platform upgrades.
  • Serve as the technical expert by researching, evaluating, and implementing leading-edge technology platforms.
  • Influence and establish best engineering practices through sound design decisions, processes, and tools.
  • Provide technical leadership in architecture, integration hubs, technical trade-off analysis, and best practices adoption.
  • Drive continuous technology and process improvement initiatives, including governance of technology platforms.
  • Balance and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Utilize Agile software development methodology (preferred).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/ master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in architecting enterprise solution landscapes especially in Salesforce, web, mobile, and connected eco systems.
  • Experience or familiarity with technologies and best practices in areas not limited to: Customer experience, CRM, marketing/sales automation, web content management, mobile solutions, social engagement preferred.
  • Excellent track record in delivering complex and cross functional programs.
  • A strong background in technical design / architecture.
  • A solid understanding contemporary design patterns/practices including utilizing GenAI capabilities to drive business outcomes.
  • Prior experience developing or working with Cloud-based technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Salesforce.com is highly desired.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce development, and deployment of highly scalable APIs, Apex Classes, Custom codes.
  • Expertise with modern technology stacks, API strategies, microservices, public cloud and programming languages preferred.
