About the role
- provide legal advice to Abbott’s Heart Failure Division
- identify and resolve complex legal issues
- conduct reviews and revisions of payor agreements
- draft, negotiate and review agreements
- advise on compliance with legal standards
- assist in creating new template agreements and playbooks
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- 3+ years of experience as a commercial attorney at a top law firm and/or in-house
- familiarity with regulations governing Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) or Independent Diagnostic Testing Facilities (IDTFs)
- solid understanding of payor agreement contracting principles as well as billing, reimbursement, compliance, and auditing guidelines and requirements
- ability to handle multiple projects in fast-paced environment
