About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Proactively lead and set the strategy for contract management services within the assigned area
Ensure contract management activities comply with corporate, division, business, and contract management policies and frameworks
Focus on risk mitigation and opportunity maximization
Apply a holistic, solution-oriented, cross-border, cross-business-line, and cross-division approach
Ensure the contract management services portfolio follows applicable methodologies, best practices, policies, and procedures
Enforce and defend ABB’s contractual interests against customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
Monitor and assess changes and deviations and defend and enforce commercial claims
Analyze contract terms to identify and address opportunities and risks, including ambiguities, omissions, and conflicts
Develop contract management strategies aligned with ABB policies, customer requirements, execution strategy, risk, pricing, scope, and schedule
Collaborate with sales, project management, supply chain, legal, integrity, and other functions

Requirements

What you’ll need

10 years of experience and a proven track record in contract management
Degree in contract management, project management, engineering, quantity surveying or similar from a reputable university
Keen interest in technology, automation and processes
Contract and risk management expertise
Pragmatic and collaborative working style
Ability to act as a bridge between various stakeholders and interested parties
Comfortable communicating in English
French and Spanish is an asset
Available for travel to customer meetings and ABB offices
