About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify customer challenges and opportunities and define study scopes that create business value
- Lead feasibility studies, concept evaluations and technical consulting assignments for complex energy-transition projects
- Develop and evaluate integrated technical solutions across electrical, automation, telecom, digital and energy-systems domains
- Support customers from early-phase development through FEED and Final Investment Decision
- Advise customers on hydrogen production, Power-to-X, offshore wind, renewable integration, electrification and energy storage
- Support sales and business-development activities through customer engagement, technical presentations and proposal development
- Collaborate with experts across ABB’s global organization
- Mentor and develop junior consultants and engineers
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners and industry stakeholders
- Monitor market developments, emerging technologies and industry trends to identify new business opportunities
- Lead multidisciplinary study teams and act as a trusted advisor to customers developing large-scale energy projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- MSc degree in Engineering
- Experience from large industrial, energy or infrastructure projects, preferably across multiple project phases from feasibility and concept development through execution
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, multidisciplinary studies or engineering projects
- Strong technical understanding within electrical, controls and/or systems engineering
- Experience in energy transition sectors such as offshore wind, hydrogen, Power-to-X, renewable energy integration, battery energy storage systems, microgrids or electrification projects
- Systems-thinking mindset and preferably familiarity with systems engineering methodologies and practices
- Strong analytical capabilities, including techno-economic assessments and evaluation of alternative technical solutions
- Commercial awareness and ability to balance technical, economic and strategic considerations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to engage with customers and partners
- Curiosity, initiative and entrepreneurial mindset
- Genuine interest in emerging technologies and changing energy-market dynamics
