About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement the global solutions strategy to drive increased sales, market share and customer satisfaction in the assigned sub-segment
  • Generate new business, increase ABB market share and exceed target sales figures with profitable growth for the ABB Group Data Center portfolio
  • Manage and take ownership of assigned customers for all product lines, including orders, forecasting and issue resolution
  • Engage with global, regional and country segment leads to develop and deliver action plans securing new and existing opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to hold training seminars and other events promoting ABB Solutions
  • Promote ABB Solutions through internal sales, channel partners, consultants, contractors, OEMs and end-users

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline highly preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered
  • 5+ years’ experience working with relevant consultants and contractors, distributors, industry users at a senior level in the data center, critical power, power quality or closely related industry
  • Experience in consultative technical sales with 12+ month sales cycle
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, proactive, ability to learn, good interpersonal skills and result oriented
  • Willing to travel within the United States and some overseas 50% of time
  • Valid US Passport
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com
  • Must have work authorization allowing permanent work in the United States now and in the future
