About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions.
- Assist the Research and Development (R&D) team by executing assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way.
- Showcase expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.
- Collect inputs from all manufacturing locations and merge them into common requirements for ETP related development tasks and projects.
- Follow-up performance of current global engineering tools; Adept, OMS, PDM, CAD tools.
- Make development proposals accordingly.
- Ensure New product development projects and Product transfer projects provide efficient engineering tools and processes for all manufacturing locations.
- Follow-up and develop ETP competence globally - Documentation, training materials, trainings.
- Works as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects, requiring only limited supervision.
- Performs a variety of tasks in the assigned area (e.g., mechanics, electronics, thermal, software), from concepts and requirements through design, implementation, integration, and testing, to technology transfer or maintenance and operations.
- Demonstrates the ability to independently recognize problems and provide input to solutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BE or B Tech, M. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 or more years of experience in rotating machines background.
- Experience with PLM software - Teamcenter.
- Experience with 3D design including use of NX, Solid works, or equivalent design platforms.
- Familiar and have practical experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, and other applicable software.
- Fluent in written, reading and verbal English.
