About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers
Execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your own area of expertise
Communicate with customers and ABB sales teams proactively to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth
Provides technical support and solves problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service
Provides technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers
Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new Service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively
Manage customer relationships and maintain regular contact with key customers
Identify new sales opportunities,
Prepare all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative
Reports work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed
Work to reduce cost and improve the quality of delivery of service and projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree, HNC/D or relevant qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
5+ years of experience in Switchgear Commissioning / Testing
Expertise within electrical protection commissioning
Extensive experience of SCADA applications, development and field support
Strong background in Low/Medium-Voltage (LV/11kV/33kV) electrical distribution
Knowledge in MS Office, ABB PCM600 Software, Omicron Test Universe
Excellent understanding of the current H&S legislation
Demonstrate excellent customer focus & timekeeping skills
Mindset to innovate, take ownership, drive improvement
Full valid UK driving licence
