About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide strategic legal counsel and uphold the highest standards of integrity within ABB.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Manage legal risks and foster a culture of integrity across the organization.
Review and negotiate contracts, draft commercial agreements and oversee contract management in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders.
Monitor legal affairs including litigation and activity reports.
Ensure good corporate governance in your area of accountability related to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).

Requirements

What you’ll need

Around 10 years of post-qualified experience in Australia with substantial exposure to international legal, commercial, digital and regulatory matters.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, assess risk, and deliver practical solutions in complex environments.
Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset, with experience in cross-country, multicultural settings and capacity to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships.
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work independently while contributing to strategic legal initiatives and compliance frameworks.
A generalist with ability to juggle multiple priorities including project work across business area, division, support/corporate functions and various assignments as needed.
