About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines.
  • Deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation.
  • Communicate service work timeline and expectations to ensure customer retention.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points while working on-site.
  • Perform resident field service tasks, preventative maintenance, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which certified to perform.
  • Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
  • Act as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree with 5+ years in field service, preventative maintenance, etc… or HS diploma with 7+ year of experience.
  • Experience working with electrical systems or electronics.
  • Electrical test equipment (voltmeters, multimeters, etc...)
  • Troubleshooting up to 240 VAC/870 VDC systems.
  • Experience with QCS systems is highly preferred.
  • DCS, PLC and networking experience is nice to have.
  • Papermaking knowledge is nice to have.
  • Must be available for on-call 24/7 if needed.
