Technical Sales Support
ABBProvide technical sales support for medium voltage electrical products at ABB while enhancing customer satisfaction and collaboration. Experience in electrical industry is essential with a strong technical background.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver comprehensive technical sales support to deepen customer collaboration
- Drive innovation and enhance customer experience through agile technical expertise
- Support Field Sales Engineers (FES) and Panel Builders (PBs) in early project stages
- Influence sales projects through technical consultation and expertise
- Shape project specifications and requirements and draft project-based technical bulletins
- Support bidding and quotation processes
- Provide agile technical support, customized configurations, and dedicated solutions
- Collaborate with PBs and engineering teams to co-design differentiated solutions
- Manage the regional project pipeline and provide forecast input to MU for capacity planning
- Conduct bidding analysis and competitive intelligence gathering
- Deliver regular training sessions to FES, partners, and customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Power Systems, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in technical support, sales engineering, or application engineering within the electrical industry
- Experience with medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, or related components is preferred
- Familiarity with the OEM market and partner collaboration models
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong knowledge of medium voltage electrical products and applications
- Proficiency in product configuration tools and ordering tools/processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical and electrical diagrams) and specifications
- Sound understanding of relevant electrical standards (IEC, GB, etc.)
- Competent in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and technical documentation
- Fluent in both written and spoken Chinese and English
