About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the technical offer lead and design authority for integrated electrical system solutions
- Support the local sales organization throughout the bid process
- Contribute expertise to address customer requirements and develop optimal solutions
- Prepare detailed technical descriptions, evaluate costs, and compile proposal documentation
- Provide technical advice for inquiries regarding ABB products, systems, and applications
- Perform analytical studies to identify suitable technical solutions
- Support the sales team during technical meetings and product presentations
- Assist in identifying technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions
- Prepare comprehensive proposals including hardware cost calculations and risk analyses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Fluency in German and English
- Several years of relevant professional experience as a Bid & Proposal Engineer or Technical Lead
- Solid expertise in electrical systems such as HV switchgear up to 110 kV, MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, high-power rectifiers and inverters, as well as containerized, E-house, or concrete station solutions
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a responsible and structured approach to tasks
- High level of self-motivation, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning about new technologies
- Collaborative and solution-oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication skills
