About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure HSE standard is fulfilled during day-to-day tasks.
- Serve as a role model to direct team and rest of the business from an HSE perspective;
- Structure project strategical approach to manage the various project key stages and deploy the needed tactics to enable the set strategy that meets business needs and customer expectations.
- Create and implement project work plans to meet changing customer needs and requirements, including leading internal project management team and partnering with sales organization on strategic/Mega projects to identify, manage and control project risks;
- Build and deploy an effective program communications plan that meets internal and customer needs.
- In collaboration with the contract manager, ensures a clear understanding of the project contractual requirements and drive strategy to resolve any outstanding contractual & commercial risks.
- Assure high level communication adaptability to effectively manage various levels of project stakeholders and executives both internal and customer.
- Deploy a concise project risk and change management plans and drive capturing & mitigation actions; 20-30% travel is required for this position.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Distribution business.
- Minimum of 5 years in management role or equivalent;
- Proven Project Management skills, including creative issue resolution and change management.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage a matrix team / organization;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in English.
- Knowledgeable in dealing with Engineering, Procurement and Construction and their processes;
- Has people management experience;
- Highly Analytical / Clear Thinker
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and sense of urgency in dealing with tasks;
- Ability to interface and build strong relationships with customers and management at various levels.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
