About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establishing and executing category strategies for best Quality, Service, Technology and Pricing
- Managing an annual spend of approx. $250 million
- Driving strategies towards achieving Key Performance Indicators such as cost reduction, improving average payment terms with suppliers, reducing sole sourced spend
- Planning and driving achievement of annual savings and cash improvement targets
- Negotiating agreements with suppliers for optimizing inventory, quality, cost, and terms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering, business or supply chain management or a related field
- 7 years of experience in the position offered or 7 years of experience performing supply chain management or sourcing activities
- 5 years of experience in category management; using MS-Office applications including Word, Power Point and Excel (pivot tables and Vlook-ups)
- 3 years of experience performing project management including change management
- Commuting distance to Plano, TX office
