About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Selling low and medium voltage products, solutions & services in the Baton Rouge, LA trade area.
  • Building long term relationships with targeted contractors, distributors, consultants & end-users.
  • Managing resolution to specific customer needs & issues.
  • Identifying and developing sales opportunities within the construction market.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs.
  • Preparing sales plans using company tools.
  • Performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Collaborating across business lines to help leverage ABB’s entire product portfolio.
  • Preparing offers in accordance with customer contract documents (plans & specs), and in collaboration with proposal department, factory & pricing team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering or industrial engineering (or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Candidates without a degree but commensurate experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum two years sales experience in electrical industry, preferably in commercial, industrial and multi-family markets.
  • Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Experience with technical presentations, oral communication abilities in person and over the phone, drafting professionally written emails and technical documents is important.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Baton Rouge and Southern Louisiana area as needed.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
