About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the Engineering and support services for the integration of electrical equipment into E-Houses.
  • Meet established engineering objectives within approved costs and timescale limits.
  • Act as a technical lead and approve design deliverables.
  • Work with the customer to shape and deliver solutions and seek customer feedback.
  • Maintain close contact with customers and project participants.
  • Ensure timely contract completion, customer satisfaction, and desired financial return.
  • Plan, monitor, coordinate, and execute complex engineering tasks including the technical and quality targets.
  • Develop and manage an engineering project plan, design reviews and approvals between ABB, sub supplying vendors, subcontractors, and the customer.
  • Develop status reports and modify plans or schedules as necessary.
  • Monitor the performance of subcontractors to ensure they fulfill their commitments.
  • Identify and pursue the resolution of problem areas likely to hinder progress of work or payment of work completed.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and skills.
  • More than 5 years relevant engineering experience in electrical power systems and project engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, protections, controls, automation, and integration within Power Distribution Centers; familiarity with transformers, drives, motors, bus duct, cables, and associated equipment.
  • Ability to design and calculate electrical systems for integrated Power Distribution Centers, including cable sizing, conduit fill, voltage drop, breaker sizing, and overall HV–LV distribution.
  • Proficiency in creating, modifying, and reviewing electrical drawings (single-line, three-line, schematics, interconnections, wire lists) and validating vendor/customer designs, protection schemes, and metering.
  • Working knowledge of IEEE/ANSI, NEMA, NETA, API, PIP, NEC/NESC standards and codes.
  • Capable of influencing senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Basic understanding of battery storage, chargers, and UPS systems.
  • This role requires some overnight travel will vary up to 30%.
  • Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.
