About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the assigned Sales organization and customers during the proposal process.
  • Serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area.
  • Prepare technical descriptions of products and technology, determine costs, and prepare final documentation.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to the local sales team and customers by identifying the most suitable solutions.
  • Participate in customer discussions, technical clarifications, and project meetings to address complex requirements.
  • Prepare and support the development of detailed technical and commercial proposals in line with customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams during bid preparation.
  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend optimized solutions.
  • Conduct post-bid and lost proposal analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in sales support, bid management, proposals within instrumentation domain.
  • Strong expertise in field instrumentation for measurement and monitoring of flow, level, pressure, and temperature across industrial applications.
  • Ability to independently handle end-to-end techno commercial offering, including product selection, configuration, and development of optimized instrumentation packages.
  • Proven experience in preparing and reviewing technical and commercial proposals, including costing, full-cost model calculations, margin optimization, and bid documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of international standards such as ISA, API, ANSI/ASME, ISO, IEC, and PIP, ensuring full technical and regulatory compliance in all deliverables.
  • Experience in managing bid and proposal activities for medium to high-complexity projects, including EPC and international tenders, with involvement in bid strategy and value engineering.
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes across Power Plants, Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Metals & Mining, and Pulp & Paper sectors, with ability to translate process needs into instrumentation solutions.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce for opportunity management, reporting, forecasting, and bid pipeline tracking to support sales effectiveness.
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors, internal engineering, procurement, and sales teams, while providing technical support, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
