About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high-quality service work across low to medium complexity projects
- Plan and execute work with a strong “first-time right” focus
- Build trusted customer relationships and respond with urgency, professionalism and ownership
- Provide remote technical support to customers during stand by time
- Work with the customer to identify opportunities to improve their operations and eliminate pain points
- Perform field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity
- Assist in preparing material lists needed for service activity
- Ensure all materials, parts, and equipment are of appropriate quality for service activities
- Prepare work packs including risk assessments and method statements
- Troubleshoot equipment/process failures, request proactive corrective actions, and make recommendations to avoid issues in the future
Requirements
What you’ll need- Highly skilled in electrical / mechanical engineering solutions
- Experience in field services - ABB product experience is desirable
- Willing to work in demanding environments, both in the UK and internationally, on and offshore
- Relevant tertiary qualification in electrical engineering and/or have a demonstrated professional track record
- Ability to demonstrate an ability to be flexible with schedules and be self-sufficient in the field
- Comfortable communicating with a wide variety of people, both work colleagues and from the customer side
- Demonstrate the ability to use Microsoft Office suite including Word and Excel
- Hold current driving license valid in the UK
