About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses.
- Execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures.
- Showcase expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.
- PR to PO (Direct & Indirect in SAP)
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payment
- Monitor and follow-up on open orders, including GR (Goods Receipt) booking reminders
- Maintain and update material master data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Supplier registration and qualification
- Manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluating supplier proposals, and assisting in negotiation processes to ensure competitive and high‑quality procurement outcomes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficient in business English (B2/C1) and German (B2/C1).
- At least 2 years of experience in operational procurement/SCM area
- Excellent communication skills and team work spirit
- Customer focus with proactive attitude
- Negotiation skills will be an asset
- Hands-on experience with SAP / SAP Ariba would be an asset
- Advanced Excel skills would be an asset
