About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Classification of products, software, and technologies related to both new and existing products
- Analysis of product information to ensure correct application of classification codes and standards
- Maintenance and quality assurance of master data, including product descriptions, HTS codes, and ECCN
- Close collaboration with Trade Compliance Officers, Engineering, Product management and other relevant business units
- Providing guidance and support on product classification and regulatory requirements
- Contributions within export control and sanctions assessments (depending on experience)
- Collaboration with the Trade Compliance Manager (TCO)
- Further development and improvement of internal processes and procedures within trade compliance
- Support related to internal controls and documentation activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, or a related field
- Relevant experience with product classification, master data, or regulatory compliance work
- A structured and detail‑oriented working approach
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly
- Experience within trade compliance, export control, or customs (advantage)
- Knowledge of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and global sanctions regimes (advantage)
- Experience with Global Trade Management systems, such as SAP GTS (advantage)
