About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end‑to‑end project execution, defining the project strategy and managing planning, progress, resources, safety, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Be regularly present on project sites during execution to guide on‑site activities, support site teams, and ensure effective project delivery, primarily within the UK.
  • Identify, assess, quantify, and actively manage project risks and opportunities to support optimal project outcomes.
  • Lead and motivate cross‑functional project teams, ensuring on‑time delivery, cost control, compliance with specifications, and high‑quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, acting as a trusted technical and commercial partner.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation, contract compliance, formal project acceptance, contract close‑out, and support the sales phase through bid preparation and risk evaluations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Higher technical qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager delivering complex technical projects.
  • Proven experience acting as Principal Contractor with full responsibility for project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and RAMS processes, including preparation and review of relevant documentation.
  • Electrical engineering background or significant electrical project delivery experience (essential).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams in a matrix organisation.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and project controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support project execution.
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
