About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor a finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning and business decision-making.

- Develop and manage comprehensive business controls, financial reporting, and compliance frameworks.
- Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and business case analyses for senior management.
- Drive process optimization and implement best practices in financial operations.
- Supporting preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting and validating accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliation and review of exceptions.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Optimizing own performance to increase productivity, recommend changes of process standards and procedures, identify areas for process/report standardization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+ years of progressive experience in financial controlling, accounting, or business finance
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing finance teams
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, reporting, cashflow, inventories, reconciliations, internal controls and business intelligence
- Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and financial systems (SAP or similar ERP systems)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and work with teams spread out geographically
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with financial controls, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- General accounting knowledge in financial statements
- Change management experience highly preferred
- High motivation to work in dynamic environment with orientation towards process improvement/simplification with ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and confidence in information produced adhering to strict deadlines
- Demonstrated critical thinking capability is required conducting financial analysis, effective problem solving and performing root cause analysis
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
