About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide sales leadership in assigned geography through the formulation and execution of strategies that leverage local operational service solutions capabilities, ABB Rep Network customer access, and OEM / Distribution channels.
  • Maintain / Grow service volume at identified traditional ABB EL Services accounts and maintain accurate and up to date records of all opportunities in ABB's CRM System.
  • Establish strong relationships with ABB Reps; implement account planning and pacing processes.
  • Collaborate with ABB’s C&I and OEM, and Utility sales team to leverage existing relationships with distributors, OEMs, and Utility customers to promote the ABB EL Services portfolio.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial or utility sales)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or marketing
  • Sound knowledge of electrical power studies, switchgear, circuit breakers and protective relaying
  • Demonstrated success in developing new customer volume / trade area
  • Industry experience in Marine, Utilities, Manufacturing, Material Handling, Pharmaceutical, Water / Waste Water, Metals, Mining, Pulp and Paper, and/or Chemical and Petrochemical preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial and utility applications for services, repairs and products preferred
  • Must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
