About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generates service sales leads and partners with senior peers to develop new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios.
- Utilizes team database to understand the existing customer base and identifies and develops sales opportunities for additional opportunities within the market.
- Acts as a marketer and salesperson of ABB’s Renewables service products and solutions through marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings).
- Translates the needs of customer into relevant ABB ECS Renewables offerings and solutions.
- Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and our technical service product solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM).
- Document customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to understand risk assessments related to price, quality, and overall package requirements.
- Registers required information in the appropriate customer database.
- Plans and performs the right number of weekly sales visits and reports them on CRM.
- Reports leads and opportunities, manages, and updates pipeline in CRM.
- Updates and monitors sales proposals and tenders and follows-up on proposal statistics.
- Communicates contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and manages administrative sales processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in business or sales driven field or combination of education and related experience in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales-driven role.
- Technical knowledge of electrical engineering, electric vehicle and solar energy infrastructure highly preferred.
- Must be a strong communicator with solid presentation skills and proficiency in analytical software and digital sales tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and Box.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
