About the role

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support large-scale digital commerce applications
  • Set up, configure, and optimize Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters for high availability, performance, and security
  • Build and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices to support microservices deployments
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager
  • Define and enforce security controls, policies, and monitoring strategies to ensure a robust production environment
  • Develop observability frameworks including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, ELK)
  • Continuously optimize cost, performance, and scalability of cloud environments
  • Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and QA engineers to enable AI-augmented DevOps workflows and faster release cycles
  • Explore and integrate AI-powered tools for automated infrastructure management, anomaly detection, performance tuning, and CI/CD optimization
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, container orchestration, and DevOps tooling.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure engineering roles
  • Expertise in managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, IAM, Pub/Sub, etc.)
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes (GKE preferred) for container orchestration and microservices deployments
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools
  • Strong skills in monitoring, logging, and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Google Cloud Operations Suite (Stackdriver), or ELK stack
  • Knowledge of container security best practices, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and RBAC
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation tasks
  • Familiarity with service mesh (e.g., Istio) and API gateway patterns is a plus
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
