About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell and provide ongoing service for ACG-branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products within a high-traffic ACG branch
  • Uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, and grow ACG’s insurance portfolio
  • Overcome objections, negotiate effectively, close sales, and meet or exceed individual sales targets and incentive-plan expectations
  • Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk and identify coverage gaps
  • Recommend appropriate insurance and financial solutions
  • Quote, bind, and issue policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain rapport with members and clients
  • Respond to inquiries professionally and urgently while supporting customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand
  • Participate in local branch and community events to prospect and expand referral networks
  • Develop new business opportunities and identify cross-sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services
  • Service ACG members in person at an ACG branch facility
  • Work Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with possible rotating Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
  • Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
  • Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable, within the timeframe established by the Business Unit
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer automated business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and close sales opportunities
  • Lead tracking, follow-up, pipeline management, and performance goal accountability
  • Consultative selling, product knowledge, customer-needs assessment, coverage-gap identification, and solution recommendation skills
  • Proven ability to generate opportunities through referrals, outbound activity, networking, and business development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work varied hours, including possible weekends
  • Some travel to local events may be required
  • Must consent to a background and drug screen if offered employment
  • Regular and reliable attendance is essential
