About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Inspect property damage, investigate claims, and provide exceptional service.
- Review assigned claims and contact the insured and other affected parties.
- Conduct thorough reviews of damages and determine applicability of state law.
- Approve payments for the appropriate parties and document claim activities.
- Utilize strong negotiating skills to reach fair claim resolutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Complete ACG Claim Representative Training Program or demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experience.
- Must have a valid State Driver's License.
- Three years of experience or equivalent training in negotiation of claim settlements.
- Advanced knowledge of Essential Insurance Act (Michigan) and Fair Trade Practices Act as it relates to claims.
- Ability to handle claims to the line Claim Handling Standards.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
