About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage complex Michigan Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims from inception through resolution.
  • Review assigned claims and contact the insured and other affected parties.
  • Complete complex coverage analysis.
  • Ensure all possible policyholder benefits are identified.
  • Document and/or code the claim file and complete all claim closure activities in the claims management system.
  • Utilize strong negotiating skills and approve payments to appropriate parties.
  • Work with insureds, guardians, conservators, and attorneys to complete claims review process.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Complete ACG Claim Representative Training Program or demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experience.
  • Eligible to acquire a State Adjuster’s license within 90 days of hire.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Five years of experience or equivalent training in negotiation, securing and evaluating evidence, preparing estimates, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of Essential Insurance Act (Michigan), Fair Trade Practices Act, subrogation procedures, etc.
