About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell and provide ongoing service for ACG-branded and brokered insurance products, memberships, and financial products
  • Uncover customer needs, generate new business, retain existing clients, and grow ACG’s insurance portfolio
  • Overcome objections, negotiate effectively, close sales, and meet or exceed individual sales targets and incentive plan expectations
  • Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to assess risk and identify coverage gaps
  • Recommend appropriate solutions and quote, bind, and issue policies in accordance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain rapport with members and clients
  • Respond to inquiries with professionalism and urgency
  • Support customer satisfaction, loyalty, and trust in the AAA brand
  • Participate in local branch and community events to prospect and expand referral networks
  • Develop new business opportunities and identify cross-sell and referral opportunities into Travel and Financial Services
  • Work in a temperature-controlled AAA branch location
  • Work Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and rotating Saturdays 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active State Property & Casualty Insurance Sales license
  • Active State Life and Health Insurance Sales license, or obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products
  • Obtain Health and Accident licenses and appointments where applicable within the timeframe established by the Business Unit
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of customer-facing experience in a fast-paced computer-automated business environment
  • Proven ability to develop, manage, and close sales opportunities
  • Lead tracking, follow-up, pipeline management, and performance accountability
  • Consultative selling and customer discovery skills
  • Ability to assess customer needs, identify coverage gaps, recommend solutions, and deliver tailored value
  • Ability to generate opportunities through referrals, outbound activity, networking, and business-development efforts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work varied hours, including possible weekends
  • Some travel to local events may be required
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Consent to background and drug screening if offered employment
