About the role

Deliver behind-the-wheel instruction to students of varying ages and experience levels following AAA’s curriculum and training standards
Use driving school software to track and manage student progress
Assess student performance and provide personalized guidance
Stay current on safe and defensive driving practices
Maintain all required state documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in driving instruction, education, or the automotive industry
Confidence working with the public, especially teens
Strong commitment to promoting safe driving habits
Flexible availability for weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day
Physical ability to sit for extended periods, hear and see in all weather conditions, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to safely assume control of the vehicle from the passenger seat during instruction or emergency situations
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Minimum of 5 years of driving experience
Must obtain a state-issued Driving School Instructor license, including passing a DMV-required physical exam
Successful completion of a background check and drug screening
