About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in installing AV equipment such as displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and control systems.
- Configure and test video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex).
- Run, terminate, and label AV cabling (HDMI, CAT6, audio cables).
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Respond and track service request tickets using ServiceNow.
- Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
- Support live meetings, presentations, and special events.
- Prepare documentation, wiring diagrams, and installation reports.
- Work with senior engineers during system integration and commissioning.
- Follow company safety standards and installation best practices.
- Provide basic user training and technical support.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's or bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of AV or IT support experience.
- Basic understanding of:
- Audio systems
- Video displays and projectors
- AV signal flow
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP)
- Microsoft Teams or Zoom
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites if required.
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or willingness to obtain it (preferred).
- Knowledge of Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or Shure (preferred).
- Experience with AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio (preferred).
- Familiarity with AV-over-IP technologies (preferred).
