About the role

Reports to the Assistant Chief Information Technology Services
Support faculty, staff and students in the use of distance and web-based education tools
Design, build and maintain websites using WordPress and the Google suite
Identify, document, analyze, develop, and maintain web-based applications
Create/edit HTML content
Determine and recommend optimal development of software tools and plugins
Liaison with vendors to install and troubleshoot third-party software
Ensure the safety of Student and Employee information and data in accordance with local, state and federal laws and guidelines
Design and implement training materials for online education tools
Provide technical and design services, and maintenance relating to educational applications
Web site development using tools including Dreamweaver, Expression Engine, WordPress and the Google suite
Strong understanding of writing and editing HTML, CSS, and responsive web design
Analyze, document, program, test, and maintain web-based content
Support and maintain database services associated with custom web applications
Provide Tier II support for web-delivered content customers
Scheduled on-call duty evenings and weekends for LMS user support

College Degree or Technical School
HTML/website design
Wordpress

The ability to visualize a project, then translate it into a working application
Communication and problem resolution skills
Full project lifecycle development
Understanding of LMS systems and their related tools
Working knowledge of Javascript, Databases, and Web Servers
Support and maintain database services associated with custom web applications
Provide Tier II support for web-delivered content customers (both Wordpress and Google suite)
Scheduled on-call duty evenings and weekends for LMS user support
Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of personalities
Team player able to focus on multiple projects and maintain balance between them
