About the role
- The Controller is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, including the preparation of financial statements, maintenance of a robust system of accounting records, and implementation of internal controls and budgeting processes designed to mitigate risk, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee cash management and risk management activities and coordinate tax planning with external tax advisors.
- Ensures accounts payable are processed accurately and paid in a timely manner.
- Oversees accounts receivable to ensure timely and effective collection of amounts due.
- Issues timely and complete financial statements.
- Prepares and maintains forward pricing rates for planning, forecasting, and contractual purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience with a major government contracting company or division of a large government contractor corporation.
- DCAA & GAAP experience.
- Deltek Costpoint and QuickBooks experience.
- Active CPA license a plus.
