About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute best-in-class project logistics solutions and deliver exceptional service to customers
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute complex project cargo operations end-to-end
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines, budgets, customer requirements, and internal processes
  • Supervise operations on-site when required
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipment documentation
  • Escalate operational issues proactively and provide mitigation plans and solutions
  • Communicate milestones and status updates to customers
  • Collaborate daily with customers, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Create vendors according to global processes and source and procure in line with the Global Authority Matrix and procurement framework
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals for value and quality
  • Monitor and update CargoWise from file creation through invoicing
  • Drive operational KPI performance against targets
  • Adhere to the MPL Standard Billing Cycle and Job Costing Policy
  • Support monitoring and orchestration of global project shipments as part of a Europe-based Global Control Tower
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment across international operations and escalate risks or deviations
  • Identify opportunities to improve project profitability
  • Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience and a proven track record in project freight forwarding, project cargo, or multimodal transport operations (road and sea)
  • Strong analytical and operational mindset combined with financial acumen and project management capabilities
  • Deep understanding of global supply chains
  • Preferably, strong knowledge of the Spanish project logistics market, including key service providers involved in both containerized and oversized project cargo shipments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrix-based environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment
  • Proactive, organized, and collaborative team player with a solution-oriented mindset and a can-do attitude
  • Fluency in English and one of the local Central South Europe languages, among Czech, Croatian, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Serbian, Slovenian, Slovak
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally according to project requirements
