About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively hunt for new business opportunities
- Identify, qualify, and secure new customers through research, outreach, and market engagement
- Build tailored value propositions based on customer needs
- Drive the full sales cycle - from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and contract closure
- Ensure a smooth handover of new accounts to operations and account management teams
- Monitor customer performance during the onboarding period and address any challenges early
- Represent Maersk at industry events, trade fairs, and customer forums to expand your network
- Share market insights with product and marketing teams to strengthen our customer offerings
- Support the expansion of Maersk’s presence within key industry verticals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Sales experience in freight forwarding business and knowledge of the market
- High energy, strong motivation, and a true hunter mentality - someone excited to chase new opportunities
- Confidence in approaching new customers and building early relationships
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- A proactive mindset, resilience, and the ability to perform in a competitive environment
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn about global logistics
