About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Further develop the relation with some of our key commodity customers in North Europe Continent
- Build a network with the customer’s global offices to unlock new opportunities
- Maintain a professional relation with all their key stakeholders around the globe
- Be the voice of customers, actively engaging internal stakeholders (customer experience, operations, finance and management)
- Resolve any issues and increase customer satisfaction
- Identify and develop business in line with our global strategy
- Ensure awareness and high utilization of our whole array of E-Commerce tools and platforms
- Create the most efficient and effective customer engagement
- Internally manage and maintain the selling process via CRM systems (Salesforce.com)
- Proactive contract management: renewal of rates, space allocations management, and maintaining side terms (T&C) as well as credit agreements
- Consult customers on business relevant market developments and proactively collect market intel for feedback to various internal stakeholders
- Be a team player - exchange ideas and views with colleagues, contribute to team meetings and ensure voice is being heard
Requirements
What you’ll need- A motivated professional that is eager to listen, sell and build a strong internal and external network
- Good understanding of the global commodity market, shipping industry and logistics processes
- Education background in Shipping, Logistics, Economics or Marketing preferred
- Sense of urgency while remaining accurate in stressful situations
- Proactively thinking about solutions
- Fluent in English, both verbally and written
- Good presentation and Microsoft Office skills (Well-versed in advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good understanding and ability to easily learn and work with live online systems (Salesforce.com experience a plus)
- Strong influencing and consultative selling skills
- High affinity to online way of working, CRM systems, multi stakeholder processes in global scale, and international corporations
- Team player, extrovert and possesses strong communication skills, both in Face-to-face meetings, via telephone and in written
- Self-starter, able to take ownership, and willingly to go the extra mile for the team and the customer
