Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing new business; arrange daily business development meetings with existing and prospective clients
Focus on retention and growth of existing clients and onboard new clients monthly
Position specialized LTL B2B and B2C services, from economy to white glove
Cross-sell products such as LCL, FCL, international air freight, customs brokerage, and FTL
Become a subject matter expert on Maersk products and remain up to date on industry news
Meet weekly with local operations management and develop cooperative working relationships with operations staff
Develop a growth strategy and set quotas focused on revenue and profitability
Follow up with new clients and operations to ensure seamless implementation and onboarding
Perform market research to identify new pipeline opportunities; present and demonstrate product value
Utilize Salesforce to build customer database, maintain active pipeline, measure KPIs, identify trends, and improve forecasting
Exceed assigned revenue goals and corporate pricing objectives
Collaborate with local, national, and international teams to implement services and solutions for clients
Requirements
4+ years of proven sales success in logistics, freight forwarding, specialized freight, or ground transportation
Results-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets
Highly organized and proactive; able to manage multiple client interactions
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills for complex supply chain challenges
Expertise in using Salesforce for managing pipelines and tracking performance
Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s degree preferred; must have a high school degree or equivalent
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Willingness to travel locally daily and 1-2 times yearly overnight
