About the role

  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing new business; arrange daily business development meetings with existing and prospective clients
  • Focus on retention and growth of existing clients and onboard new clients monthly
  • Position specialized LTL B2B and B2C services, from economy to white glove
  • Cross-sell products such as LCL, FCL, international air freight, customs brokerage, and FTL
  • Become a subject matter expert on Maersk products and remain up to date on industry news
  • Meet weekly with local operations management and develop cooperative working relationships with operations staff
  • Develop a growth strategy and set quotas focused on revenue and profitability
  • Follow up with new clients and operations to ensure seamless implementation and onboarding
  • Perform market research to identify new pipeline opportunities; present and demonstrate product value
  • Utilize Salesforce to build customer database, maintain active pipeline, measure KPIs, identify trends, and improve forecasting
  • Exceed assigned revenue goals and corporate pricing objectives
  • Collaborate with local, national, and international teams to implement services and solutions for clients

Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven sales success in logistics, freight forwarding, specialized freight, or ground transportation
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Highly organized and proactive; able to manage multiple client interactions
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills for complex supply chain challenges
  • Expertise in using Salesforce for managing pipelines and tracking performance
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; must have a high school degree or equivalent
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Willingness to travel locally daily and 1-2 times yearly overnight
