About the role
- Provide advice and support on reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts
- Act as a business partner in risk assessment from a legal perspective
- Maintain a strong understanding of Maersk's contract templates and policies
- Engage and manage external legal counsel
- Proactively identify and address legal issues in a pragmatic and risk-based manner
- Provide training on relevant legal topics to non-legal colleagues
- Collaborate with other departments such as Procurement, Sales, Finance, Tax, and Compliance
Requirements
- Higher degree in Law
- Fluency in English
- Minimum 5 – 7 years of relevant legal experience in private practice at a reputable law firm with international clients and/or in a multinational company
- Deep competence in contract law
- Demonstrable skill and capabilities in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with functional project teams
- Broad understanding of the commercial playing field and different industry actors
- Strong people skills, business savvy, and effective communication skills
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities and willing to travel
